Are there scams on Paxful?

Before I signed up for an account on Paxful to sell my bitcoins, I read lots of reviews to find out other people's experiences with the exchange. I almost got discouraged because there were quite a handful of negative reviews - mostly about scammers. But I had to dig deeper because I really needed to sell my bitcoin for fiat as soon as possible, and especially as information was circulating that LocalBitcoins was suspending people's accounts without notification.
I decided to visit Paxful itself to check out if there are useful guides on how to trade successfully and also avoid scams. Thankfully, I found all I was looking for and so proceeded to sell my crypto.
